DAY 1 in Zagreb (Sat, 8 Sept)

Airport transfer to city apartment. Lunch in apartment.

Free and easy (be mindful..have a good rest to avoid fatigue later during road trip)

DAY 2 in Zagreb (Sun, 9 Sept)

After breakfast -Heads to Ban Jelacic Square (Main Square- with statue of Ban Jelacic)-also has small fountain in the square, this is Mandusevac Fountain. The bustling hub between Upper and Lower Town. Enjoy the area. Head up to Dolac Market, wander along pedesterian-only Tkalciceva Street, and over to the Stone Gate(Kamenita vrata), the only remaining gate the middle ages in Zagreb, and then pass through to Upper town.

City tour on our own:

1) St Mark's Church/ Crkva Svetog Marka(13th century).

2) Lotrscak Tower/ Kula Lotrsck (midday cannon is fired till now). Climb the tower for a great view of Zagreb.

3) Uspinjaca/ Funicular railway (hop on for the 66m ride from upper town to the lower town or vice versa).

Remaining time at leisure. ** Look for Zagreb Islamic Centre and biggest mosque, also halal lunch at mosque restaurant.

Retire back to apartment for dinner.
